With the new notification from the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, released in May 2025, specific categories of biostimulants, including Humic and Fulvic Acid and their derivatives, Seaweed Extract, Botanical Extract, and various Mixed Formulations of Biostimulants, have now been brought under the Fertilizer Control Order (FCO) with detailed specifications.
To manufacture and sell these categories of biostimulants, you will generally require No Objection Certificates (NOCs) or specific permissions/licenses from each state.
